How we work

How we work

From your first enquiry to the interpreter in the room — here's how a booking works, how we vet our panel, and how we handle confidentiality and pricing.

The booking flow

Enquiry, match, deliver.

1 · Enquiry

Send the booking form or call 0800 833 225. Tell us the language, the setting and when and where — start with what you know.

2 · Match

We match a NAATI-certified interpreter with the right sector experience, and brief them for the work ahead of time.

3 · Deliver

Your interpreter attends in person, by phone or by video. Afterwards, we follow up and handle any documents you need translated.

Our panel

What "carefully vetted" means.

We don't simply hold a list of names. Before an interpreter joins our panel we check their certification — NAATI for non-NZSL work, the recognised standard for professional interpreting — along with relevant sector experience and references. NZSL interpreters hold their own recognised qualifications. Then we match for the setting, briefing the interpreter on terminology and context so they arrive ready.

Confidentiality & privacy

Confidential by default.

Our interpreters work under confidentiality obligations on every booking — nothing said in the room travels beyond it. We handle the details you share with us under our privacy policy.

Pricing & quotes

Clear quotes, no surprises.

Cost depends on the language, mode, duration and sector, so we quote each booking rather than publish a one-size-fits-all rate. Tell us what you need on the booking form or call 0800 833 225, and we'll come back with a quote — usually the same business day.

Cancellations

If plans change.

Things move — we understand. We ask for reasonable notice so we can release the interpreter for other work; the specific cancellation terms are confirmed when we quote your booking.

FAQ

Quick answers.

How much does an interpreter cost?

Pricing depends on the language, the mode (in person, phone or video), the duration and the sector. Send the booking form or call 0800 833 225 and we'll come back with a quote, usually the same business day.

How quickly can you confirm a booking?

Most enquiries are answered the same business day. Urgent healthcare and legal requests are prioritised — tick the urgent box on the form, or call 0800 833 225 directly.

What does "carefully vetted" actually mean?

Every interpreter on our panel is checked for certification (NAATI for non-NZSL work), relevant sector experience and references before we send them to a booking. We match for the setting, not just the language.

Is everything kept confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is the default on every booking. Our interpreters work under confidentiality obligations, and we handle your details under our privacy policy.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Let us know as early as you can. We ask for reasonable notice so we can release the interpreter; cancellation terms are confirmed when we quote your booking.

Ready to book?

In person, by phone, or by video. Most enquiries answered the same business day.
